TELEMEDICINE

"Telemedicine" can be considered as "the set of IT techniques to support health, social and socio-health care with the consequent possibility of guaranteeing, for selected patients, health, social and health services and services at a distance".
The definition was set by including social aspects as often the recipients of health services are patients who present social problems at the same time and because, in the near future, it will be precisely social expenditure that will increase much more than health care.
Telemedicine shows enormous potential in terms of greater access to care and efficiency, yet the acceptance of this modality of assistance (by health professionals and political decision-makers in the first place) is still to be tested, as well as that of patients.
We know, therefore, still too little to allow its greater diffusion and implementation in realities where it does not exist. The economic sphere remains unexplored, in terms of both cost and outcome.
According to the lexical classification proposed by Siegel (2017), telemedicine includes:
• Telemonitoring allows you to monitor a patient via mobile devices or by receiving reports via the Internet / telephone, so that the specialist who receives the data can check symptoms and / or progression of the disease.
• Tele-education-education includes seminars and interactive web sessions for specialists alone or with patients.
• Teleconsultation refers to the exchange of information between healthcare professionals and remote expert colleagues.
• Teleassistance is instead the form of telemedicine which involves the interaction between healthcare professional and patient and / or caregiver, and is based on a videoconferencing method that simulates a face-to-face outpatient visit. Contrary to the previous ones, this type of telemedicine is called synchronous, as it is a real-time interaction (Daniel, Sulmasy, 2015).
The existing telemedicine systems worldwide are numerous, but for optimal operation they must always be supported by fast, stable and reliable connections, a type that LOGICA can offer, ensuring high levels of effectiveness, efficiency and eco
